I was looking at our Sponsor Directory and did not see Kibler listed. Is this correct?
If he does not sponsor this site, I personally find that odd, given the 1000's of free ads he receives here from the members.
Hope I am wrong or looking in the wrong place.

The best compliment I can give man is that he is good at what he does. Never met Mr. kibler, nor bought any of his products yet. But based on many testimonials from satisfied customers I think he is doing something right. A good guy making a great product at a fair price. I would be OK if he slapped his banner right across the home page. But it isn't my site...

I have a Kibler SMR and I find it to be all that was promised. I have built other kits both Long rifle and pistols. Kibler is the best.

I have one Kibler product, a SMR that I am very pleased with. I am also saving my pennies for a Woodsrunner. If rumors of a Kibler Hawken comes to fruition I will be on it like a duck on a June bug. Mr Kibler has made available historical correct and industry leading precisely manufactured kits at a reasonable price point, while also providing second to none service and support, in addition to freely sharing his expertise. Might it be a wee bit greedy to expect even more? In my humble opinion Mr. Kibler does not owe this site or the sport anything.

I have built a few other kits. I’ve built three of his and waiting on a fourth. I’ve talked and texted many times to him, Katherine and some employees. They are patient and helpful.
If he ran, I would vote for the $t^&@ for president.

I won a Colonial rifle in a shooting match but wanted to re-do engraving on the side plate. I called Jim Kibler and he sent a new side plate to me, which was a drop-in fit. Oh yeah, I had it in FL 2 days after I spoke with him. Love the rifle, and great service.

I just got into the sport a little over a year ago. Back then I didn't know a Kibbler from a TC. I didn't even know who or what it was all about until a few months ago. I never knew he was part of the group until today!

Around January I started toying with the idea of building a kit. So, as always, I started my research. I wanted something that was going to be top quality at a reasonable price (sounds old school, right?) that would last (borders on unreasonbale these days!). I found all sorts of manufactureres that made stuff closer to my budget, but none had the look or the quality I was looking for.

A short time after, I joined this and the sister group. Until then, I had been flying solo with no others to discuss BP with. I wasn't on FB either, so there's that. I kept seeing the name and decided to research it. I was amazed at what I read, saw, and discovered. Here was someone producing exactly what I was looking for! And, through my research, I discovered he was Old School business! You pay a reasonable price for high quality!

I already have my cash stash saving up for one. Nearly there!$$$

I see he is a supporting member already, so he is paying to be here. Him not paying to advertise here shows me humbleness. Letting the quality of his work do the advertising for him shows pride without being boastful. This combined with his reputation makes him someone I want to do business with.

All very good points! Quality costs money but above that, the years of research, the dedication to his art, the care of manufacturing, the genuine concern to assist his customers and those learning the craft with excellent videos and communication by e-mail and phone make his products a bargain. I have years of experience with the flintlock lock itself. There are only two I would consider for a build. Jim’s and Chambers in that order. Jim’s locks require no work other than polishing the outside surfaces. The construction of the bridle with its machined posts along with the lock plate aligns the tumbler perfectly. With the lock being the heart of a flintlock, the best is what you want. I my experience, Jim Kibler’s locks are the finest.
With reasonable effort, a Kibler kit will become a top quality, fine gun with a resale value above the purchase price. That can very rarely, if ever, be said of a factory muzzle loader.

The only thing that I have ever found odd is when he personally links his videos to this site, which are basically advertisements for his products.

Having said that, I'm not an owner of this site, so if they don't have a problem with it I guess neither do I.

Could it be that he is providing helpful links to those of us that have questions on our rifles/kits etc? I feel we are a sponser for him and I like it?

About a year or two ago I put my experience of my southern mountain rifle from Kibler and how Jim Kibler called me back the next day on the forum. I do not want to rewrite the whole story again but I will say this, it was a very good experience. And the quality of the kit, the beauty of the finished product along with the outstanding accuracy of the rifle have caused me to view Kibler's products very favorably. Jim and company offer great products, excellent support and I appreciate the time he and Katherine took to make all the videos that are very helpful to beginners and experienced shooters/builders in understanding the nuances of his designs. I am fortunate to have one each of his kits and I will continue to buy each new model he introduces. Gradually shifting my inventory from unmentionables to more ML products
