Italian guns…coating on the brass?

If so, how do you get it off?

I’ve noticed the brass on my Zolis doesn’t tarnish.

There are quite a few coatings they could use. But polyurethane clear coating works well. Using paint thinner on a rag usually removes any old coatings on the brass. Everbrite comes to mind as one brass coating.
