Wow...with the cost of gasoline, that's about a $30 can of powder... :(

Dang ! I didn't factor in the cost of fuel :shocked2: . I only have to drive 5 miles to pay $22.00 for a can of black :haha: , of course that was last years price , they might want $30.00 now :shake: . That is , if they're still in business (heard the owner was missing alot of paperwork from gun sales) . I bought 1 can from them , and never went back for another .

A few months back I posted a comment about the difficulty in obtaining caps & powder in up-state N.Y. Ogdensburgh area.
It is quite interesting to note all the home addresses of the persons who responded to this thread, that have the same problems in finding supplies.
You don't have to outlaw black powder shooting...just stop vendors from selling supplies.
Scary !
I can see a lot of avid shooters making their own powder. I know this is not a topic to be entertained here.
I'm happy I purchased quite a few pounds of powder years ago.
Best Regards

Since I've gotten into the mode of buying mailorder cases to get the cheapest price I don't drop below one case...as soon as I finish one case, I immediately order it's replacement...just can't exceed the two case allowable maximum for single family residential dwellings here in NC.
(at my house...now my Son's house is another matter...never want to run out of Goex!)

a friend just ordered a case of blackpowder from powder inc. Friday. cost of goex is just under 11.00 a lb. delivered. I needed some powder last year, I had to go the twin cities for schooling for 2 days, and would be pretty close to track of the wolf, I gave them a call to see if they had the powder on hand, turns out it would be a lot cheaper for them to send it than to buy it over the counter. don't make sense to me. flinch

Graf raised the price of their private label, it's just a nickle cheaper'n Goex now. You have to buy 10 lbs to spread the $25 hazardous material fee out far enough. Still that's less'n $150, they throw in the shippin'.

They got the best deal on round balls of anybody I've seen..bout $4.00 a box cheaper with shipping.
