I recently acquired a flint lock kit that the person had bought many years ago, but never put it together. He said that it was 44 caliber and Japanese made. All it has for identification is "Japanese made" on the back side of the lock.
Everything is there except for a stock and some small pieces.

I did a little research and believe that it is likely a Miroku rifle which often carried the name Ultra-Hi.

Is there anyone who has put one of these kits together and would still have the instruction sheet. Also a few pictures would help.

I have a Miroku Hawken in .50cal..The stock looks like my TC Hawken..The bottom rifle on the rack is the Miroku and the top one is an Invest Arms Cabela's Hawken..The close up pic is the Miroku..

You might try contacting Dixie Gun Works, they were a primary importer of those guns and might have some old stock parts.

I tried Dixie, but they were unable to help. It has been too many years since they carried the kits.

If you can't find a stock you can use any pre-shaped stock that has the right sized barrel channel cut. You will have to inlet all the other parts - not a lot different than building one from "scratch".
