I looking for a bridle for my flintlock pistol I know it is made in spain one of the tooth is broken off the bridle can I buy a bridle or do I have to buy the whole lock? any help is greatly appriciated!

thanks

P.S. IT might be called a tumbler when cocking you have 1st lock then 2nd lock. 1st lock tooth broke off. I'm a learning!

Thank you but it is a flintlock I have found the tumbler but on eBay there is one but they stated it might have to be fitted. I'm not a gunsmith. I checked on a new flintlock lock but they are pricy. it still fires but will not set on safety mode due to the tooth being broken pistol is in perfect shape barrel is excellent. I just might have to buy a new lock or find a used one?

Jukar locks are tough to come by.

They have a different bolt hole pattern than the Traditions lock.

The upper lock bolt is about a quarter inch more forward, towards the bolster, then Traditions.

If I'm not mistaken, L-R has a replacement lock with the upper lock bolt drilled and tapped for both the Jukar pattern and the Traditions pattern.

The Gun Works has some parts for older CVA/Jukar and Traditions/Ardessa, and you may find a replacement tumbler there.
Another option is to send the lock for repair. I've had Cabin Creek repair and tune a lock with a broken tumbler. A call to Brad Emig there and very likely he can fix it.

Seems like for ease and cost of production, a flint tumbler and percussion tumbler would probably be the same. Somebody out there must have a scrape lock they could scavange parts from. If have several CVA locks that I've done this with, but no Jukar.

THANKS! I think it's a jukar only marking is the word Spain on the bottom barrel . But it looks just like my percussion CVA pistol. I'll check on gun works and Everbody thank you for your help and support!👍

Is there enough material to file a new notch into your tumbler? I had to cut a replacement chambers tumbler for better lock up.

Hello. I write from Spain. You may find it cheaper to buy a complete lock, for example like the one used by Ardesa's (Traditions) Pennsylvania rifle. With very little work on the wood of the stock you will be able to place it and you will have a lock with a wider frizzen and that gives very good sparks. Cordial greetings from Spain.

thank you for writing I did find a lock complete from I did find a lock from track of the wolf, and also found a new tumble from eBay I think I'll order tumbler from them $20.00. see if it will work? it suppose to fit CVA and JUKAR.🤞
