Anybody want to contribute toward mine? Getting it before the season opens is a bust. Now I'll be lucky to get it by years end. :( :(

Hanshi, I've cash in hand! As long as you order it left-handed and with a 15" LOP... :rotf: :rotf:

15" LOP !..........ya must have arms like an ape!....LOL,[Reckon I have arms like a 'de-warf' I ordered mine in 13" LOP.] I ordered my TVM around the 1st of Jan.so a few more months I guess. Man,I wish we could all get them at the same time and then go shooting together.

Rusty Spur, Snow on the Roof, I hear ya. A pic would be good; I'll just pull my hair out :rotf: .

My lop is 12.5" (a kid's lop). I guess you're built something like a spider :rotf: :blah: .

Macon,
I measured for LOP as suggested by Toni, and being all of 5'5" tall, I get 13 1/4 " LOP. Seems about right, but see you are at 13 even. Measured from inside of elbow (bent arm to first joint of index finger, correct?

I'm 6'5" and can flat palm an 8'ceiling standing in my bare feet...most standard LOP are just too short.

Taller than me by a few feet for sure! [I do have a buddy though with a LOP like you.......[6'7"]

Macon,

Sorry was only trying to give others an idea where they stood. The wait may be long but you know in the end it will be well worth it.

I've been going to the range every Sunday to kill some of my wait time.

I have no muzzle loader to take to range....... :( So I reckon I'll make a bag and horn along with some other stuff while I wait. Sure is seeming like a Longgggg wait.

Guys,
I will probably never hunt anything bigger than a whitetail, and read all the time about getting .54 cal. I have only used .50 cal for the past 25plus yrs. and have always had very good success. But, you guys sure can keep me lying awake pondering .54. Do not wish to turn this great thread into .54 vs .50. Proper shot placement is where it's at!!

I, also loose shut-eye, thinking B wt vs C wt barrels? I do prefer to still hunt and do appreciate a lighter weight weapon. I figure you guys have experience w/both weights, and just want acceptable accuracy from B wt. Bill

Actually mine will be in .45 cal. and with a 'non-swamped' barrel in 13/16". If it handles like the Hatfield I had [set up the same] many years ago, it will be like a magic wand! I also will hunt nothing bigger than Whitetail and mainly squirrels.
