I bought one from the want adds here a week ago, still setting in the box as I'm in the process of putting another project together for my son to use but my brother hunts with an shoots one he put together probably 20 years ago an he still loves it, he browned everything, I'm thinking about doing the vinegar trick on mine but haven't made up my mind yet.

 CHEERS!!! Good choice
I bought my son (16) one in 50 cal,His came with a 1 in 66 twist, and myself a kit in 54, both of ours are flinters. What is really awesome that kid can hit a 4x4 at 75 yards every time. .. with a patched round ball.
Like I said these are awesome rifles... well best of luck, and keep us in your loop
my best regards a "loyalist Dawg"

Obviously at age 24 you're not married. My wife says no toys if we get a refund. :cursing: :shake: :yakyak:

I'm getting married in December...so I will be at 25. This year's was so big because of that first-time home buyer's credit. Next year's will be big because she and I are both setup as "Single, 0" on our W4s. Have the maximum amount withheld all year for both of us, then get to file as married. :hmm:

Here is one from a kit, with an oval patchbox
