SOLD Kibler colonial rifle 54 caliber

This is a 54 caliber muzzle loading rifle I built this spring from a Jim Kibler kit. The quality of all the components is excellent.
The stock is made from walnut of very good quality and does feature a wooden patchbox.It is finished in a traditional oil finish.
The furniture is of brass.
The lock is of Kibler design and manufacture and is of the highest quality.
The barrel is 44" long and swamped.
All steel components were rust blued and bolt heads were flamed.
Brass and stock have been aged a bit to give a mildly used look to the rifle.
I carved the stock in a manner reflecting a frontiersman carving his own stock during winter when stuck in his cabin in the mountains. Its simple and is not perfect by any means. This was intentional.
Accuracy is excellent with a load of 85 grains 2f Goex.
The only thing one may not care for is how I roughed up the front portion of the ramrod. If that is an issue for the person that purchases this I will be happy to forward you a brand new ramrod to finish as you see fit.
Rifle will be shipped in its original wood crate for protection.

You did a fine job of ageing it, so that it does not look like a store bought everyday rifle.

You may want to retake the photos with a lighter contrasting color and not so busy background so your gun doesn’t fade into it. Natural light will also help brighten up the gun’s detail.

I would call it very accurate. With practice, it is definitely a match gun. I was shooting it offhand at a hundred yards and it was holding about a 3" group. And the group was that large because of me, not the rifle. I have put roughly 20 rounds through it to get the front sight filed down to a close zero. Not exact but close.
