Just how Hawken do you want your Kibler Hawken to be? If the twist is anything other than 1:48 it won't be an authentic copy. If you brown the barrel and furniture instead of bluing them you won't be faithfully replicating an authentic Hawken. How actually authentic will Kibler's Hawken be right down to the rifling. How many will be creating an inauthentic suggestion of a Hawken by browning the metal.
And you have to rust blue the barrel, none of this cold blue junk.

I was glancing through John Baird's book "Hawken Rifles" and there were a couple of guns pictured with a little figure in the maple stocks. Not heavy curl but not plain although it was mentioned that plain maple was the most common stocking material used.

I won't speak for Mr. Kibler but given his Hawken discussion (from 7:30 to 9:00) in his sit down video last August, and doing some extrapolated ratio measurements from the image in his recent sneak peak release, I'm doubting that the barrel on this model will not go over 32". Assuming a 13.5 to 14" LOP, 30 to 32" what I see from the my ratio calcs and measurements. Besides, It would be hard to go over that number and keep keep to the sub 10# shorter barrel he mentions as a goal. Time will tell. Meanwhile, I've submitted a place holder for one in .45. I trust his design judgement 100%.

One author in muzzleloader or muzzle blasts mags insisted the Hawken Shop used hot charcoal blueing technique. 36" not too heavy but many originals I' ve handled were shorter. My Bill Large .53 cal is 36 long, 1 1/16 + across the flats and 1 in 48" twist with 7 (?) lands and grooves with deep square bottom rifling. Heavy yes, for horse transportation not woods running. .62 cal rifles need more mass to shoot comfortably after many rounds not so much for hunting. Primary source journal speaks of shooting bison from prone position resting on butt of knife driven into ground at 150 yds plus ranges. Harmonics on wrought iron barrels different enough than cast steel to handle heavy charges and shoot reliably and accurately.

The picture is just a screenshot of the 3d models from our design software. The stock is still square in this image. As mentioned, there will be a video soon that will share a lot more details. I haven't figured up weights, but my guess is somewhere around 8.5# in 54 caliber.
What barrel length are you going to offer?
