I’ve reached out to Mr Kibler about when the Woodsrunner will be available to at least get on the waiting list. Haven’t heard back but I’m sure the shop is going full wide open. Anyone else got any up to date information?
I believe Lorie had told me May or June

In a thread over on ALR, Jim said he's about 80% done with the preparation to begin production of the Woodsrunner rifle.
He also said that if one wants to get on a list for the rifle, they'll take your name on the condition you don't "bug him" about it before he's done and actually making the rifle.

They took down my name for the rifle after the Woodsrunner so they'll definitely put you on the list for that one.

Saw a note on thier FB page that they are going to have to increase prices by about 5% due to the high cost of everything.
Still a great deal. Increase to start April 1st.
That is reasonable.
What is unreasonable is Panther Primitive increasing 15% from their published current catalog prices. I think they are wanting to go out of business. They should have adjusted prices before publishing their current catalog...

15% !

By the end of this year, we'll see double digit increases on the percent price in all sectors, not just BlackPowder specific items. This is going to be tough before it gets better...if it gets better.

The price increases are for realsies, I looked casually at what new materials would cost me back about a month and a half ago (it was going to be around 700), looked again yesterday, and that same haul will cost me 850 (lumber prices went back up and metal is going up quick)!!! Don't even start me on barrel makers, those poor guys are up to their ears in orders and backlogged anywhere from 5 weeks for the big boys out to 18 months for smaller concerns lol! Fuel + Labor (cost of living/finding quality people)+ material demand = more cost.

Buy what you can now (regardless of who it's from), and find a range of loads that work, from small plinker loads up to monster loads... and then shoot the light ones to save that powder and shot for when you need it. I have a feeling our belts may have to be tightened a few notches in the year(s) to come.

You know what's REALLY not hurting Kibler? The fact that every time I see one, I never think, "Gee. That dude should have taken his time.... or gotten some help.... or not used a chainsaw." Self-proclaimed 'first-time builders' post comments about how they just received their kit and love it. Then, only a few months later, they post pics of some gorgeous rifle and I'm thinking, "BS. There's no effing WAY that supposedly-novice builder built that pretty gun that fast."

My order will be in before April 1, even if I have to put it on one of my no-interest plastics.

I'm seriously torn 😫 I dearly want a 40 SMR. But really pushing the "fun" budget to place the order by 4-1. I guess I won't make any predictions. Won't know what I'm going to do til the last minute.

What time zone is that again? 😂

My .40 SMR has been on order for a couple of weeks. If there was a fowler kit available, it would be on order as well. :)

My problem is could order a parts set and pre-carve from Pecatonica and do a passable job of building it but it will never equal the Kibler kit. At least not under my hand!

I need to take a long hard look at my "unmentionables" as to who must go to fund the next Kibler. I have all big bores and need a .40-.45 cal. Now that I have my Colonial ready to shoot, I would probably give hard thought to selling my GPR percussion...(no, this is not an ad, just a thought!). My t/c renegade will do most anything that does, with much better sights. Its tough when you have limited storage space .
