Selling my smr. Its my first kit i finished and the second stock I've done on this rifle where I messed up the first. Stock is done with one cost of iron nitrate, blushed over open flame and finished with a few coats of kibler sealer and finish. It's not a perfect rifle. The toe is chipped out wear I've planned on installing a toe plate, and there is a dimple near one of the trigger gaurd pins wear the pin stuck in my wooden mallet and I tapped the stock. The dimple is not very deep. This being the second stock, the barrel had to be drilled a second time to line up with the pin holes resulting in the new holes partially overlapping the old holes. I don't have a welder or the means to finish properly but works as is. The rear sight dovetail did not Come completely cut in so I filed it in and filed down a sight I ordered off track of the wolf. The barrel has been draw filed and the iron finished with b.c. super blue and burnished back with steel wool. Casting marks all removed. The front sight is a woodsrunner front sight. I have not got around to sighting in the rifle perfectly but checked poi and at 25 yards seems it shoots right on top of the front sight with 40gr of swiss 3f. Plans were to buy a smaller caliber barrel.. but the style of rifle doesn't seem to fit me and I find myself gravitating to the woodsrunners shorter lop everytime. Selling for $900.
