Kit gun question

This is a silly question but I have to ask it.
When blueing a barrel from a kit, do I blue the bore as well?

Blueing and browning are both a rusting process, not sure why one would do any more damage then the other.

Because browning is far, far more aggressive and creates way more oxides from the steel.

If you'll look at factory finished Lyman's and TC's you'll see that the inside of the barrel is the same bright shiny blue as the outside.

no doubt they were hot tanked in caustic salts. I've done both hot salts and hot water blue, much prefer the hot water method. Also done lot's of browning and don't see much difference in how corrosive one is over the other. Of course where I am located may have an effect usually under 11% humidity.

I just put a rubber stopper in the muzzle to keep out the solution. And it protects the barrel end if you set it down while applying the treatment.
