I hate the term "assault rifle". Its a anti-gun media term for military style weapons. ANYTHING could be an assault weapon, I could make an assault fork if I wanted.
Do I want a military style rifle like an AR-10, 15, SKS, blah blah......No.......but every weapon they get restrictions on, is one step closer they get to getting them all.

Ya, im paranoid......the man is out to get me. :shocked2: :shocked2:

I just got into it with an FFL holder here stating I need him to ship a lyman GPR, off gunbroker, I know the law, and I dont need him. Oh well, I didnt win it anyway. :( :( :( And I want one soooooooo bad.

The man is not out to get you. He is out to get US. We ain't paranoid, just careful.

No better than I shoot it doesn't matter if I had the best barrel in the world I'd still not be a good shot. But I have been looking for one of Bills barrels for a couple of years for a Hawken so I bought the one on Ebay.
Thanks for the lead Jack. :hatsoff:

What make you think the "MAN" who's out to get you is a man?

Could very well be a woman who's spearheading this thing... :hmm: (food for thought)

Not saying when or by whom they were offered, but on eBay I've seen rifle barrels with the receivers attached, and in the text of the ad the receiver described as something like "the part the bolt fits in". In spite of their efforts to be PC (that's "politically", not "period" correct), the folks on eBay are too ignorant about guns to know when certain federal laws are in danger of being violated. Gives you a warm fuzzy feeling to know the same sort of people are usually given the responsibility of deciding what our laws mean and whether or not they've been broken.

More to the original point -- yeah, there's some great stuff on eBay, and even when the prices get completely ridiculous it's great fun to put a "watch" on an auction and enjoy the bidding duel as two or more parties compete to see how many times over they can pay what an item's actually worth. Sarcasm aside, I've gotten some great deals on eBay and always recommend it (with appropriate cautions) to anyone looking for hard-to-find items.

Ebay shut down the mass market of kits on there. I tried selling a scope mount for a FNFAL and got it pulled in 12 hours. Some people put things on there without saying what it is but with no description bidders cant find it.
Ebay just looks down the assault weapons list and pulls auctions at its own mercy right or wrong.

oh yeah, the money people bid on muzzleloaders from ebay, is ridiculously high! I've been trying to find a reasonably priced stock for a hawken. But after buying each part separatly and then paying shipping, I could have bought 2 or 3 guns from my local gunshop! He's got a dozen good thompson center guns for around $200 on the rack right now and nobody around here wants to buy them.

So buy one, keep the stock, and e-Bay the other stuff :haha: :haha: :haha:

Not that it's a muzzleloading topic, but I bought a Turk Mauser for the action -- about $100.00 when the shipping and FFL fees were paid -- and sold the stock and attached hardware, and barrel, for slightly less than fifty dollars once the consignment fees and shipping were paid from the total the customers paid.

Why not start a bidding war, instead of trying to fight in one? Much more fun and profitable!

that's not a bad idea...I thought of it myself. I could buy them all, break them down, keep what I want and sell the rest at an astounding profit.does anyone have a grand to loan me, so I can buy the inventory to get started?

Ah, the problem. As the old saying goes, it takes money to make money. And, yet -- if I have money enough to spend that way to begin with, there goes a large incentive to want to make more money.

I suspect that in the logic of that statement lies the reason I'm not rich and never will be. I don't have the drive or the instinct to always be trying to acquire more than what I've got. :haha:

Suspended from Ebay for Toy Kentucky Rifle!! :cursing: My wife and I have been selling on Ebay for over 9 years . Last month I was cleaning out my closet and gave my wife a Daisy Kentucky type Clicker Rifle , Made in the late 50's or early 60s. It has a Tin barrel and all plastic stock and makes a click or pop sound when the hammer hits the plastic Lock. EBAY pulled it on day one and suspended us For A WEEK!! :cursing: I have seen in the last month one person parting out complete military rifles and selling in peices at the same time ,Reciever and all! The complete gun and not get caught! That breaks Federal Laws!! I was selling a Toy!
I think Ebay is a bit to automated. Oh well I guess for everything good theres always some bad!
I still love EBAY! :)
