not sure if there's a list, but there Are a lot of good ones on here.. Roy Stroh, Mike Brooks, are 2 that have websites...i know there's more..jus brain fade this early...take a look at those two --- .com

What's your budget?
How custom do you want?
Fur or paper?
School your after could also factor in.

There are a ton of good builders out there 7502k is right about deciding which style of rifle you want and what your budget it. You have been given two excellent choices already, both who have great websites and very reasonable prices for custom guns.

Keith Lisle is a good one (member Birddog6)
Matt Avance at TVM
Tip Curtis in Tennessee

And... how long are you willing/able to wait for your rifle? Some recent inquiries of mine to popular custom makers found them to have quite a waiting list. Glad for them that they are doing well, but it makes the 9-10 month wait from TVM seem like quick turn around in comparison.

This is a good time to look for a custom builder as there are many. My only "hands on" experience has been with Matt Avance at TVM but have been able to examine a few others. Roy Stroh and Tip Curtis seem to be very highly respected. Builder Mike Lange (Mongrel) does very fine work at a price under many factory guns.

i just purchased a gun from nate mckenzie very satisfied quality workmanship fair price check out his website.

Like said, how deep do you want to reach into your pocket? Jack Brooke's in Denver CO is premo. The gun Heston held above his head for the NRA was a Brooke's built. Many of the guns seen in the different movies (not prop guns) were built by Jack. I have several of his, as well as some of his students. My favorite is by Danny Caywood, not to expensive and is correct for a Wilson Chief's tradegun.

I don't know where you are, but I just bought a 46" fowling piece from Tip Curtis. He's in Tennessee(sp?)
