This Lamson & Goodnow sheath knife was in the lot of knives I had recently purchased. I admit I never heard of the company but found that they were founded in 1837. To me this has the feel of a 19th century knife. The logo is a map of the continental US with Made in U.S. stamped above it. I find it interesting that is says US, not USA. Slabs look to be tiger walnut. The nitches on the top of the blade are also interesting to me. Any idea when this could have been made?
