Romantics speak of things that "nourish both body and soul". For me, hunting rabbits with BP is one of those things. I told you about the "nourish the soul" part yesterday, here is the "nourish the body" part.

I just ran all the way home and slapped mamma! Thats one laruping spread. Yeah the coyotes are rough on rabbits, but fox are worse. Coyotes are quick, but foxes are quicker. Both are over populated and are going to play heck until the foods gone and the dog's litters are back down to one or two a batch. The way pap taught us to hunt rabbits in open cover like your photos, was to get your iron ready and head toward the cover at a stiff walk, walk right up to a comfortable shoot distance and stop dead. After a while those rabbits, if any, would explode. He said the rabbits couldn't stand it because they thought they had been spotted. Thanks for the memorys and the photos, enjoyed both. :)

I'm the rabbit cook around here, and mamma is mighty glad of it. I see why!

Yes, that is something I routinely do, and it works. When I'm in rabbit cover I walk a dozen steps then stop for about 4-6 beats. Used to be hard to make myself do it when I was a youngster, but these days I look forward to the stops.

I've used the Turkey load you were willing to share on your website and it's done you proud!
