We got that early season also in the archery season fer youngins and elders :hatsoff:

HERE IN ILLINOIS WE HAVE A JANUARY SEASON IN ABOUT HALF OUR COUNTIES, OUR PERMITS ARE ALLOCATED BY COUNTY (OR BY SPECIFIC WILDLIFE AREA) VERY MICRO MANAGED BUT SEEMS TO WORK. LOTS OF DEER, LOTS OF BIG DEER.

Florida also has an early muzzleloader season too in most WMA's. It's usually right after archery...STEAMING HOT but not crowded.

The February hunt in NW Florida is great!!! It's usually right close to the rut depending on the weather and again...not crowded.

I've always contemplated going on that hunt during the school Febuary vacation but never got around to it.
