I have lead from old telephone connections. I have removed all of the tin connecting the ends and seams. When I heat it to pour round balls the hot lead has a yellow tint. Can anyone explain this. Thanks Ike

I'm late to the party, but in case you never figured it out, you might be running much too hot. Powdery yellow lead oxide forms at high temps. It could be impurities too. Maybe invest in a thermometer if it's still an issue.
