I'm looking to make a couple pair of center seam pucker to Moccasin's and need some quality leather, any suggestions on a supplier?
I've got the patterns, I'm just in need of the raw materials to get started.
Thanks

Elk hide, hands down. Or moose which is much heavier and IMO harder to "pucker" but last a good while.

Elk hide is all I use now. Deer hide obviously is a go to, however I simply wear through deer hides very quickly.

Elk is certainly easier to work than moose, but it isn't nearly as abrasion resistant as deer or moose hide is.
That being said, my current pair of center-seams are made of elk, cause that's what I had on hand.
All three will work good, Deer or Moose will just last longer.
(for Deer I only use shoulder for mocs)

Look for the seller Glacier Wear on ebay. I've bought lots of good leather from them. They do have smaller pieces so you don't have to buy a whole hide, or some standard portion thereof.
