I use a felt over powder wad in my 54 GPR when I shoot my hunting load of 120gr 2F with a patched RB. I found that anything much over 90gr tended to burn thru the patch and caused poor accuracy.The wad eliminated that. For everyday plinking and small game I use a load of 65 gr of 2F and just a patch lightly lubed with WSW fluid. That works well in that load. FRJ
