12 ga 32 inch colerain oct to round barrel thats been jug choked Xfull by Danny Caywood. 1st target is 15 yds an the big holes is 700 ball. I favor shooting big shot at longbeards so my shot is a equal mix of 2 an 4. Im also a big fan of Fg in big bore smoothbores. The 2nd target is 30 yds. After finally finding the right load combo this gun has taken a bunch of longbeards. The load is 100 gn of Fg then a felt 1/4 in wad lubed with bear grease on top of the powder. Then a hard 1/4 inch cardboard on top of that. Then a 110 grn of shot an 2 thin overshot cards on the shot. No 2 barrels are the same an your mileage may very gun to gun

Are you testing your gun on robins? How do they taste?
Like chicken /Ha , had a Uncle that came from Louisiana and was amazed at all the robins in NJ . And then said that's one of his favorite meals , was illegal then and now but that didn't bother him or his buddies but he was a hillbilly (now passed on) to where anything goes . I didn't mention where exactly thou /Ed

Here’s a recipe that I’ve used with success. 12 ga. Underhammer with jug choke (Caywood). 70 grn Swiss FFG, 1 12ga wool wad followed by 50 grn of corn meal, 1 1/4 oz copper plate #6 finished with an over shot card. Target was shot by a buddy that just had to try it. 18 yards and 25 yards.
