This one came out well. Worked it over quite a bit. Made a new front sight, debadged, fitted replacement grips. Probably my best shooting revolver.

Colt Army (with a naval scene on the cylinder), a set of consecutive serial numbered CVA 50's, and a 45.

My Griswold got to see some action at midnight. It was my New Years noise maker this year. Charged up a couple cylinders full of FFF and seated a felt wad on top. Make for a nice flash in the dark.

It is a pretty pistol, John Zimmerman did all the work, I just supplied money. I have an 1860 in the works now and again, I supplied money and a set of figured walnut blanks as pretty as these. Since the 1860 has more real estate for displaying fine wood, I expect this will outshine this Remington...

That's a Uberti made 1861 "Civil frame" with a 7.5 inch barrel.

Remington, was the first SPEED LOADER!!

I don’t think swapping cylinders for a quick reload was a common thing at all.
Do Remington factory records show there was a market for these?

Thought that I would add another original from my collection. This is an "extra Prize" from the 1864 NRA Wimbledon Meeting. 1 GUINEA was ONE pound and ONE shilling -- in those days 1 POUND was about 4 dollars so the value of the prize was about $44. 5 shots fired from KNEELING, entrance fee 2 bucks!!!
