I've got it hangin' on the line right now, I decided I'm going to imerse the whole thing in a proofing vat, so I'll set it back up and snap a few more shots for ya before I do that; piece-o-cake :thumbsup:Twocross said:Wouldnt mind a couple more pics of your set up including the jointed poles. What are the dimentions set up, is the rear strait, etc?
Thanks

I'd shrink the daylights out of it first. I had a painter's tarp before this that took four gallons of proofing, two gallons of a camper awning waterproofing agent, and two cans of olympic deck stain. the deck stain worked best, but the weave was such that I still got misted with each rain. thankfully, the dog settled my issues by shreding the whole mess!Riley/Mn said:Are you just doin that in the house machine? Okay, I read it again-8 x 10. I just picked up a 12 x 15 that I want to cut to 12 x 12 for Mrs. "I'm not going to sleep in a tent without a floor". I don't know if I need to wash it to shrink it up or not. Like I said-this will be a floor, probably with plastic underneath.
Hey Twocross, here's the pics I promised. I hope this helps.Twocross said:Wouldnt mind a couple more pics of your set up including the jointed poles. What are the dimentions set up, is the rear strait, etc?

Bruce, Why do you add Mineral Spirits to your Linseed Oil? Do you find it makes the canvas easy to tear when dry? And last are you goint to tinet the Oil with some of that red dirt from the woods?Skagan said:I would've taken another pic, but I've got the canvas in the wash right now in preperation for a linseed oil and mineral spirits coating.

Hey Twocross, I just realized that I didn't answer your questions. The tarp sets up at about 10' wide by 7 ' deep, and, 4' tall at the peak.Twocross said:Wouldnt mind a couple more pics of your set up including the jointed poles. What are the dimentions set up, is the rear strait, etc?
