Load time?

I was wondering how long can a c&b revolver be left loaded, and are there any ways to lengthen the time?

A LONG time if loaded with real black powder.

Black powder does not deteriorate over time and unless it or the caps get wet there is no reason a cap and ball revolver couldn't stay loaded for years.

I left a ruger old army loaded for 5 yrs once,was gone on a trip for uncle sam almost 2 yrs :thumbsup: I put on new caps and fired her off....no misfires yes it was holy black :wink:
