I have a load that realy shoot super. I have a 45 cal, and i use a Lee dipper 1,3cc PP, wad from a milk box, and Lee REAL 200 grains.3 shots, in one big hole, at 18 yards. This gun, is super. With rest ofcourse.

That was a good conversion list. I have Drams on my new powder flask.I have the flask, on 5/16 Drams, and take 2 of that for each shot.

I have the Trapper in .50. They are really sweet shooters alright. I'm glad to know that the REAL shoots well for you. I've been wanting to try it myself. For now, my most accurate load is 25 gr. FFF Goex, .490 ball in .015 patch, using 5/1 water/Ballistol as a patch lube.

I'd love to find the .45 version of the gun. I've seen pictures of it a few times and it looks really nice with the blued furniture.

I have not find a load, for the roundball yet. But i will do some shooting this weekend, and i hope i will find a good load for them to. I did buy this little nice ballbag, and i looking forward to use it.

I have tried that load, but i might have had to thin patch. How hard should it be to push down the ball? Maybe i have to hard aloy, for the balls. Shall the rifling do marks Thru the patch, and to the ball to ?

You should be able to push it down with a bit power, but not hammering down. There should be no grooves on the bullet.

Thanks KIRR, i wasnt shure about how hard it should be, to push the ball down the barrel.

The REAL's are the best all purpose load I have used. It is my traditional, nontraditional hunting load. Try drilling a hollow point with a small drillinto one for max expansion. I have had one split in half producing dual exit holes.

You shouldn't have rifling marks on the ball, but you should be able to see the pattern from the patch on the ball. That's what grips the ball as the patch grips the rifling. The ball size you were using might be too large. Try a smaller ball and maybe a thicker patch.
