Wow! That's a deal, good score. Caliber?

Is it my imagination or does the barrel look short for a Renegade? I noticed the front sight does not appear to be factory. Every thing else looks right to me. It looks to be in really nice condition.

I got to take a day and hit pawn shops.
Since I work 4 10's my standard Friday itinerary is to hit the local gunshop, the local pawn shops and if I have time the sporting goods aisles at the farm store and Sportsmans warehouse neither of which are high on my list.
The old fashioned gun shop (Doc Neeley's) Rocks! I have actually got to handle and buy rifles I've only seen pictures of and the miscellanea on hand is awesome, I rarely leave without at least buying some ammo or some vintage doodad.

Good deal. Everytime i find a TC or anything under $250 in a shop it invariably has a horribly rusted out bore - this especially in .50 and .54 NEW Englanders.

To date many shops around here outright dismiss most ML's as junk. The aforementioned bore issues are often a reason why. Now with rampant inflation some shops have just now started to catch up with the values and have started to go the other way spurred on by legal issues. Strange times.
