Is that **** all the way on the post? Or half on and sitting crooked?
It's actually crooked. Has a little twist to the left.Is that **** all the way on the post? Or half on and sitting crooked?
But everyone else needs to stop accepting junk as part of doing business in this screwed up manufacturing world we now find ourselves.
I have a factory built pedersoli that has a lock that lines up like that. It operates and sparks fine. I have always just slid the flint over in it just a bit. I cannot remember what model it is off the top of my head. I will get a picture of it when I get off the road this week.My pic may not be the greatest there. The hammer and frizzen are are not centered on each other. Enough so as to be an issue as the center of the hammer is on the inner edge of the frizzen. I've been searching for an upgrade lock but have yet to find or hear back from any feelers about ones available for the Pedersoli built rifles.
That's what Brad from Cabin Creek recommended I do as the simplest solution. He went further and stated that that particular design flaw has been present on cheap locks pretty much since the things were invented. Who knew.I have a factory built pedersoli that has a lock that lines up like that. It operates and sparks fine. I have always just slid the flint over in it just a bit. That's the exact same. I was off work today so worked on mine for several hours. Got a few more metal pieces to get filed and sanded and a tad more sanding on the stock before starting the finishing of said parts.
Isn't this the truth. Semper Fi.I got into muzzleloading back in the 70s. There was some real junk being sold back then. Unfortunately the same junk is still being sold under different names at 10 times the price today.
