Be sure that all surfaces that make contact, like the sear to tumbler are smooth. No burrs or jagged bits on cast parts. Sear spring should ride smoothly on the sear bar. Inside of the bridal should be polished, along with the inside of the lockplate, where the tumbler rubs. The same goes where the mainspring rides on the tumbler. After polishing those parts, a small amount of oil will help everything move smoother.

As above plus lightly polish the shaft that runs threw the coil main spring.

On that basis one can replace the nipple with a Hotshot or similar or notch the nipple so it splits on the barrel side preventing the problem of having the spent cap stuck on the nipple and making it easy to flick off. Not a lock improvement but an operational improvement.
After stoning etcetera make sure you use a good grease on the bearing surface to reduce wear and friction.

Apart from that you probably know the barrel may be rough and need a wee bit of polishing till it starts to perform.
Sights are coarse but that is a person to person thing.
Not going into triggers.
