Sat 21. Went up to log Cabin at Lodi, Ohio With son-in-law,grandson(Silent Sniper)and his friend. The bag seminar put on by Dean Freund was great. Watch Ian Pratt and Jim Kibler coach the gunbuilders. Talked to Ian and he is a super nice fellow. Invited us to the next doings on March 28. There having a Buy, sale and trade day. I got Lb of Goex 21.00 last time it was 19.00. Got some TC Cheapshots and tin of caps. Helped buy a L&R flintlock for the grandson for his build project. He has a .45 half-stock with the barrel inletted and ramrod drilled. Had all the other parts, but no lock.Has a Birthday this month. We had a great day. Dilly

It don't get no better, Dilly. A day with your son and grandson working on building muzzleloaders.

I'll bet you had a great time, especially helping your grandson get his flinter built. He'll probably own that gun all his life and remember you every time he pulls the hammer back. :)

I was at Dixon's today and a pound of Goex was $22. Made me glad I went in on a case with a buddy last month. I'm the proud owner of 6 cans of 3F, 5 cans 2F and 1 can of 4F. Worked out to $12.75 a pound. Wonder what it'll cost next time I buy it! :shake:

Thanks. I didn't get my first ML till I was 43. I made sure he got started young. Also have one more grandson. I gave him a ML two years ago, he is yet to shoot it. He is in Maryland. His dad works in DC. I get on him( dad) about the shooting ever time I can. If I get him up here you can bet he will be shooting.Have four step- grandsons. There not in to guns. Dilly

 sounds like a fun day! Hows come you didn't tell ME about it?! What do they have planned for March 28?

Way I took it they are having a trade blanket day thing. Ian said any related things to muzzleloading. I have a flyer for Oct 10and11 2009 A Early American Trades Fair. Seeking Artisans (Backsmithing) is one of them. PH 330-948-1082 Free Admisson Public is invited to step back in time. Dilly

Wish I could have been there, too! Know some of the employees there from the phone when I ordered most of my ML stuff there.
Seems to be a real nice shop with nice people!
