I needed an obscure item and emailed the Log Cabin Shop in Lodi, Ohio. Got a prompt response from Liza Kindig and was able to order what I needed. I met and dealt with the Kindigs back in the '70s when I lived near Friendship. They have been in the ml business for a long-long time for good reasons. Quality folks and products.

Shopped with LCS several times online and once by phone. Always smooth transactions and the fellow I spoke with by phone went above and beyond my expectations during the call (I only called to ask if something was in stock, he went to get the item, then answered questions about it and how to care for it…ultimately I decided to buy over the phone!)

The small, family-owned businesses are the heart of our hobby. And, we should all be grateful to the very first guys around 1958 that anticipated the Centennial (61-65) and had the first replica revolvers made. The larger companies like Taylor's, Midway, etc., are part & parcel of our experience, along with the Black Powder companies. Let's not forget the individual skilled flint-knappers, too! Using a millenium-old skill to keep us in 'sparks'! Not forgetting good ol' Dixie, that was a founding bedrock.

I've even parked my camper in their lot overnight , and while the wife slept in , went into their shop , and spent a few bucks hidden away from the boss. Lotsa good books , too.

I ran into Liza a few times at Friendship where she has a couple booths, the Log Cabin and the Lock Shop with one of her gunsmiths during the Fall Nationals, then I saw her last summer when she came out to West Michigan during a shoot at Grand Valley Cap & Ballers. Super nice gal.
