When I was first discussing a custom build southern rifle on this forum, back in 2005, Two Shadows strongly recommended I talk with Roger Sells of Monterrey, TN about the project. I'm glad I took his advice! While waiting for the custom .54 Tennessee flinter to be built, I bought a .36 Tennessee from Roger he had built 25 yrs previously. Both rifles are tack drivers and the workmanship is superb. If you would like to discuss a build with Roger, PM me and will give you his ph#. BTW, Dixie Gun works had a Sells southern rifle for sale on their website' they described it as "one of the best examples of a southern rifle we have ever seen". An example of his work can be seen at contemporarymakers.blogspot.com
