Looking for a good range rod.

I had an ice shack break apart and all of the poles were 3/8”. A little work, epoxy, and pins made some great range rods. I have also put electrical shrink wrap on them (not these) in the past

Fiberglass is highly abrasive.

There have been some experiments done comparing the abrasivenes of various ramrod materials and it was found that wood was the most abrasive.

I use a military surplus rod used to clean the .50 calibre machine gun…works great
Nice “T” handle, I’ve even been able to use it to pull a dryball, or two at the range.

You reminded me that I have one of those on the shelf that I bought as a bring along in case of packing in. I know I was able to attach various tips to it but don't remember how. I should dig that thing out!

Here’s what I use…works great and is solid. It can even be used to pull a dry ball. Not many rods can do that…
