I'm looking for examples of powderhorn scenes (engraving, scrim) that have troops, scouts shooting things, etc. I've gone through my books and found some and I'm trying to get ahold of Dressler's book to see what's in there. Anyone got any favorite scrim scenes, pics, etc they'd be willing to post?

The project I'm working up to is a horn that is kind of a journal of my career; but I want to do it in the 18th century folksy style. I know that many of the engraved horns were not done professionally and conversly the engraving is crude (and boy does my scrim look crude  ). But some of those old horns have some really cool pictures on them.

any examples would be greatly appreciated; or directions for other places to look.

Master Horner Lee Larkin has published a book on powderhorn designs that will give you what you are looking for. I believe it is still available from Scurlock Publishing or from Lee Larkin. Do the google thing.
Also for sale on the Contemporary Longrifle site.
