Looking for info and specific ID on revolver

The only things that I see stamped on the barrel is Chas Osborne. I have not found much about the manufacture or who this was. The cylinder is numbered at each cylinder with, I think a proof mark, at each partition between the nipples. There is a small cavity in the grip about an inch deep. The tab on the left side behind the cylinder will hold the hammer back to allow for cylinder rotation and releases when the trigger is pulled. It is also a double action only operation. I did not measure but it seems to look like a .40 something cal. maybe a .44. Thanks for any help and sorry for any quality issues with the pics.

I would describe it as a self-cocking revolver, of a type popular in England in the mid 19th century. Charles Osborne was a Birmingham gunmaker. If you Google "Charles Osborne" , gunsmith you should find the information you need. Most of the hits I found were for shotguns but there were some revolvers. There was one sold by Christies in 2003: https://www.christies.com/en/lot/lot-4204223 which is similar to yours.

As Auldjin indicated the gun was made by Osborne in Birmingham. It's one of the better constructed ones based on Joseph Bentley's British patent for a double action revolver. Other folks made very similar revolvers based on this patent, with the cheaper ones sometimes having "rifling" only at the muzzle
