Ran across one of John H's posts about the TMLRA (and the T stands for Texas and not Tennessee) and about a shoot in June 2006 in Brady, Tx.

I want to go, but haven't been able to track down any additional information on the TMLRA or the shoot.

Any details will be appreciated.

Thanks. Have you been to one of these shoots? Can you pass along any informations.

Hi guy, what do you want to know about Brady? There are several members on here who can provide info about the shoot so ask away!

There are motels in the area, good eating places, no shortage of good shooters, LOL. Be prepared for bad weather too, usually a right of passage to have lived through one of the thunder storms while at the shoot. I started to spend the night in a friends Tee Pee and got wiped out in short order from the storm. There is usually some cooking going on there by some of the members on one or two evenings. By the way Patsy Lohn's number is (325) 597-2571 make sure to mention my name and tell her hello for me (toney urban).

Bring a stapler for the targets if you have one and oh yeah don't forget to bring your powder, patch, balls, primers etc, (don't ask how I am so thoughtfull in telling you)

Ask any thing else you need will be glad to help,

Hey Rabbit03, thanks for the information. I will contact Patsy Lohn.

Do you guys dress up like re-enactors for these shoots or just come as you are?

Thanks.

PS. I just talked to Patsy Lohn and got the information I needed. My wife's family is from Brady and she knew and knows some of them. I have actually camped at the lake there several years ago to attend a family reunion.

Thanx. I am thinking about meandering down there (maybe not 'til June) to check it out. Seems like it might be a good place to pick-up from first hand knowledge. I have camped at the lake there before with my old travel trailer and will do the same again. It does sorta look like a chuck-wagen, you know.

Glad to hear that the shooters are not concerned about costumes. But considering the location, I am not surprised.
