Last year I came across a fake Hodgdon site. They had everything even #11 caps very cheap. The site was very convincing right up until they wanted to use Zelle for payment. I contacted the Hodgdon legal department and soon the site was gone.

$50 a pound sounds pretty darn reasonable to me. If I really figured it out, I am afraid it would be a lot more-and frankly the only way I like venison is when I can it in a pressure cooker with beef bullion and onions and then it tastes like beef.
I can't hardly stand the taste n smell of beef. Now deer n tree rats be fitting to wrap lips around while having buttered biscuits n gravy.

So an update. I ordered 700 from muzzle-loader.com. They gave me a tracking number UPS. I go to UPS. No such number.
So I wrote the sender. OH, well we haven’t actually sent it yet, but we on it. Then where your tracking number come from, oh that will be it when it ships.
Horse feathers. Thats not how any shipping works. I got burned.
But let me give you a story . I ordered pistol grips from Eagle Grips. Weeks go by I cant reach them about my order. Scam, right. I call visa, fraud deny payment. One day a guy calls me, says, we ready to ship your order why you deny payment? I told him. Oh, we had email issues. I call visa say release payment. I got grips. First, their customer service stinks, second those grips were junk garbage not close to what i paid over $100. Dont deal with Eagle Grips. Advertise rosewood. They are plastic crap you see on toy gun.
And YOU. The owner of Eagle Grips. If you on here i defy you to say something. Wood doesn’t melt when you hold a match to it you rip off scam artists piece of dog doo.

Let me get this straight. According to your previous post, you ordered the caps 2 day ago. You apparently emailed them either yesterday, or early today. Is this correct? My order for caps from them took 3 business days to ship out. As far as “that’s not how shipping works”, yeah that’s how shipping works. Especially with hazmat. The shipper punches the shipping info into either the website or app. UPS is notified to expect the shipment. The business software generates a notice to the customer with the tracking number, even though it’s not “live” yet. I know this by being involved in Logistics & Supply/Fleet for an ambulance service for 10 years. You just got ahead of the curve by not being patient. Muzzle-Loaders is a legit, upstanding business. You’ll get them. Took about 10 days turn-around for mine.

I ordered a cap maker by ***edited*** and i ordered 750 RWS caps from another place that never got sent.
I am getting a bitter taste dealing eith all of this bull****.
No wonder this here genre is dying.
Bad service is one thing: now, high prices? Appears to be another epidemic. Where's the government when you need them?

No problem with Muzzle_loaders for me, just be sure you have the right site, with the internet all i's must be doted and all t's must be crossed, and in this case, all hyphens must be in their proper place. I've been to many a strange site because of a digit or a letter missing or misplaced.
One other thing I do, and that is to use the old saw, if it's too good to be true... A cheaper price for something that other known legit companies are charging requires a second look.

Edit to add, I just noticed my gaffaw up top, spelled the site with an underscore instead of a hyphen, exactly my point so I'll leave the mistake.

I paid 12.00 a hundred for caps 1.5 years ago at a gun show and felt like I got "held up" but I'm feeling better all time now days. The price of caps sure has peeked my interest in flint ignition though except how does one get a percussion revolver to digest flint ?
I'm not, the last caps I bought are marked 0.79$ on the CCI tin and I buying iirc 10 cases to split with a buddy who decided afterwards that he only needed

@angelariz is right, this is a private forum that you willingly joined, not social media.

Try an "Upgrade", Both of ya. You might like it.
It is quasi-public as some sections are free to view,, but it is a private entity.
There-in lies the difference.
Your acceptance of the rules of the forum to become a member expresses that.
Did ya both forget to read the fine print?
Social media are interactive technologies that facilitate the creationand sharing of information, ideas, interests, and other forms of expression through virtual communities and networks.

What upgrade?

You are correct sir I had my tracking number for 3 days before it went live, meaning UPS picked the shipment up and guess what UPS now shows that I will have my 500 caps on Tuesday. Also you are correct about Muzzle-Loaders they are definitely legit I have ordered from them many times including a couple of my revolvers. Shipments always get here when they say they will. I guess some people have no patience and as you said have no idea how shipping works.

You are right but you just scratched the surface. The world would change if left alone on a natural course but it has been sped up by the people you mentioned. I am relatively sure we will see some terrible happenings soon. The Ukraine war and illegals we have entering the country in masses are just a couple of baby step to where we are headed. Our so called leader said," bring the bottom class up and widen the middle class" ? If he succeeds with what he stated the Middle class and the bottom becomes one and the new bottom class. How ignorant can we be to like this if and when it happens?

The really disturbing element of all this, is that its happening all over the western world, we're being RULED not Governed by incompetent Fools who very obviously are subordinate to Puppet Masters back in the shadows.

Heres an example, in Australia we had a very sub-standard socialist career politician "elected" to the Prime Ministers (PM) office after 68 % of Voters didnt vote for him.

Nothing much happened for a while until some months later one Bill Gates made a short visit to Australia to meet PM Albanese, since then we've had disasterous new policies being rammed through (thankfully most look like back firing) with the PM refusing to explain any details of why his new policies are needed.
Try and tell me what we're witnessing isnt an orchestrated coordinated program, on the part of WEF and its "influencers" Gates, Schwab; Soros et al.

In Brisbane and other parts of Australia they’re asking $A179 for 1 kg of Wano, most of the Curtis & Harvey that I’m using is marked $A12 a kilo, have had it for many years.
Just looked at a tin (100) RWS caps, $6.12 I’ve had them for yonks also.
It pays to stock up but in my case it’s mostly old stock that I wasn’t able to sell.

The major companies of the world have a bunch of hoops they have to jump through to deal with another country? The cure for this agravation is to eliminate the country altogether and the best way to do that is make us all one with the same laws? The world has gotten smaller with the advances that have been made. It hasn't been so long ago that travel was slow but now I can be in europe in less than a half a day? The same goes for products made around the world and the people that make the products see Dollar signs! I am afraid we will see a one world government sooner or later? I see the road being taken to get us and every other country under one government.

The genre may not be dying, but compared to the late 1970's, it is in a nursing home. Premium parts for custom rifles have always been expensive. And why take the time to build with crappy parts? In 1992, I paid $3 a pound for powder and bought enough to last 15 or more years. Lead, I have always scrounged, except for light bench matches, I would buy swaged balls, and then weigh each one to cull out those over or under by too much. I still have a few caps from a dozen $10 rolls I bought about 2000. But I once burned a great deal more powder, because there were paper matches every weekend, normally within an hours drive. Those days seem like a century ago. The days of 300 competitors at a two day match are pretty much history. Most clubs have fallen back to one or two single afternoon matches once or twice a year. The closest club to me still has matches one Sunday a month, but often has only 5 or 6 people show up. and they no longer shoot paper. Hitting a gong or breaking a clay pigeon doesn't do anything for me. There was time when hunting was more than deer. Deer is the only game animal in the fields and woods according to most ads, magazines and stores. Most hunters are only interested in getting a deer. by any means possible. They are so obsessed with the deer, that they will only use the least handicapped weapon to take one. And suffer unmentionables and cross bows only because the regulations demand them for expanded seasons.

If there is going to be bickering here every post, i can go back to books, honestly. I dont do this little kid back and forth.
I was thinking about becoming a supporting member but i will not pay to be arguing with grown men online like some little kid on twitter.
When I first started on this forum, I was suckered in by a few trolls. I don't even respond to them anymore. As you progress here, you'll see it's the same one's trolling. Every forum has them. Semper Fi
