I like the way these are looking, for me the problem isn't aesthetic so much as practical. During hunting season in my area there is a lot of temperature swings and humidity. The compound I'm using seems to be quickly degraded in cold, wet weather. Those wrinkles in the sides of the Tap o Cap style I've been making expose the compound to humidity and I believe have been hurting my reliability during wet weather.Hi Curtis,
There's a limit to what dies like these can do for numerous reasons and that cannot be done. The only way to replicate factory caps is with manufacturing industry hydraulic blank forming machinery. The purpose of these dies are to enable us shooters an affordable way to make caps that will work.
