I have a Deerstlker in cap lock. I have been searching for a flintlock for some time without success. If I can find a Lyman Trade rifle, will the barrel fit my Deerstalker stock. I know, I also need a flint lock. And they need to be the same caliber. My goal would be one gun, two barrels and locks.
To that end will a T/C lock fit?

The TC lock plate will need to be notched for bolster clearance of the Lyman/Investarm barrel. Not sure about anything else. I would guess that they would be fairly close at interchanging. Haven't ever tried it myself, though.

Indy,
I hate the new style fiberoptic sights. I am holding out for an older gun, with the dovetail sight blanks.
I never got out this year either in the early season (doe only, in-line, cap, or flint), or the after Christmas flintlock only season. And if I don't fine one, my old T/C Hawken flint is fine for next year too.

I keep forgetting they changed the sights and mounting so they can't readily be retrofitted. I've a GPR with a roached barrel I've had the same thing in mind sitting as a back burner project for some time now. Keep putting it off cause folks think their used stuff is worth new or more than new price nowadays.

Parts are the same cost; your money is worth a lot less!
