I bought this rifle here in the classifieds a while back, and since then I’ve found a couple other rifles that have suited me better, so I’m moving this one on.
it’s a very nice Lyman GPR in .54 caliber. The barrel, lock, and other metal parts have been nicely browned. The bore is excellent. The hammer and double set triggers function as they should. The ramrod is not original; it has been replaced with a brown Delrin range rod with a .54 cleaning jag on the end. It’s useable, but is a bit too small in diameter for the ramrod thimbles and as a result it rattles a bit. The gun is in very good used condition, with some surface dings and scattered marks, but nothing out of the ordinary for a gun that has been shot a bit and hunted with. It’s a good clean Great Plains Rifle that should provide many years of use. Please take a look at the photos and evaluate the rifle’s condition for yourself.
I paid $500 shipped for the rifle, and that’s what I want to get out of it. Payment by postal money order, personal check (held 10 days), or PayPal friends and family.
