What is width across flats on a .54 Lyman Great Plains Rifle?

Big Sky, I just measured my Lyman .54 and it is 1 1/8 inches across the flats. Never been fired; I made it from a kit a few years ago. Dale

Dale, are you sure that’s across the flats, and not across the corners? That seems like a mighty hefty barrel for a production muzzleloader.

May want to check again. All the Lyman GPRs in 54 caliber I have owned and the ones I currently own have barrels that measure within a few thousands of 15/16” (.937”) across the flats.

As above, 15/16ths. The later Pedersoli version GPR is 1".
