Been doing the same thing to my barrels over here in E Tex air for 10 yrs or so, seems like nothing browns like good ol mother nature. Fred :hatsoff:
 
If you already have some Ed's Red solution at home that will do it. Hoppe's will do it too but the quickest of them all is a can of Auto Parts Brake cleaner. Take the barrel out of the stock for this (this is important) and then douch the bore with the solven and let it sit. % minutes or so and swab with patches. Reapply and brush. Now move on to plain old hot water and a dollop of Murphy's Oil Soap or Irvory dish soap or whatever. Pump it back and forth in and out of the bore. Now using the same techinique, do the same with straight hot water. Grease the bore with either bullet lube or Ballistol and you're done. Simple as that. If you don't let the bore get rusted you'll never need anything stronger than water again period.
