Have you tried out an improved Mini Ball? I have a old kit gun put out by Ithica with a 1 in 66 twist that will rag an 1 and a half hole with 415gr mini and 105gr of FF goex. Dipped the cold bullet into hot lube. Easy to load, packs a mean punch and shoots well.

At least your Wal-Marts sell Muzzle Loaders and supplies. None of ours do here in he tColorado Springs area. :(

I just bought a perc. Lyman trade rifle .54 at Wal-mart. Great gun for the money. They had 2 .54's and a .50
Wal-mart on Platte ave
You're kidding me, right. I live in Woodland Park and usually shop at the 8th street Wal-Mart. Sporting Goods Mgr. there told me that none of the Springs stores carried ML's because of some City problem. What was the price range? ::
.

$210, they were closing out to stock inlines, I found a scuff in the stock of a .54 and paid $168.00

Trade guns are not listed anyware as a kit. it's ashame because it would be a nice gun to make from a kit. :(

I was at a Walmart in Whitehall PA at the end of February and all muzzleloading stuff was gone. The guy there said they clean it out at the end of the hunting season. That would be the time to pick up a deal I guess.
