Cool story,

Other than using a couple of original muskets for living histories the only original equipment I use for my impressions are bayonets. Can't abide by the low quality Indi/Paki manure and one can usually find a serviceable original for less than an Italian repo.

I do make my own uniforms and strive for authenticity. Here is a pic from Manassas, I'm the one in the middle wearing the battle shirt. Myself and one of my other pards made the Militia webbing sets. We fielded 32 sets for that event.

That is impressive you and your pard made such accurate Early War Militia accoutrements for the reenactment! By the way, LOVE the Secession Cockades.

Thanks for the compliment on the Militia Webbing. That was a serious project but well worth the final effort and effect.

I am known to be anal or is it A**hole to some when it comes to this stuff, Ha!

I have some better pictures of the finished product that I should post to the Craftsman section.
