Bigben,
Looks good, Inletting is one of those things that just takes a lot of practice. Not only do you have to learn what tool to use when, you also have to learn to read the grain that you are working with.

Thats some good looking inletting! It looks like the brass grew inside the wood. Hang in there, I'm sure it'll get easier. I'm still struggling with inletting too and I tell myself that all the time. :)

That's nice work Big Ben
I build full time. One thing I can tip you (and all reading this) is to go to some of the auto parts stores and buy some of the extra small screwdrivers sets they sell there. Get the ones maked made in Sweden or made in Germany. The steel in them is very good.
Stone them into a set of very small chisels and they work really well for fine inletting and also for wire inly work. I use them for most of my patch box inletting. Sharpen one of them into a skew point to get into the sharp pointed corners to remove those tiny chips without breaking off the wood points you are trying to keep.
Hope that's a useful piece of info for you all.
:)

Good work! Your patience is paying off.....
