May I presume these measures are by volumn ? That's the way my adj. measure is set.
The "spout" side is nice, but keep in mind that opening one side of the hole you make in the tine will add to the volume of the pour.I hadn't even thought of that, but it's a great idea!
Yes, volume measuresMay I presume these measures are by volumn ? That's the way my adj. measure is set.
Yes. Using your adjustable measure set to your selected volume, find a drill bit that matches that volume. Drill into the tine to match the depth of your measure, finish the interior, and you're set. If you overdrill, you can trim the top of the tine.May I presume these measures are by volumn ? That's the way my adj. measure is set.
Only if you don't account for it. Or if you fill it past the lower edge. The "spout" side is nice, but keep in mind that opening one side of the hole you make in the tine will add to the volume of the pour.
I didn't say practice on unusable pieces.Good idea. I'll practice on unusable pieces before messing up the good tines.
I keep learning more and more from y'all!

Sounds like an interesting story or a bad joke!...how to get a stuck ball out of an antler tip...
Depends. Lead ball or one of.........This is a great thread!
This must be the place to ask how to get a stuck ball out of an antler tip…?!?
I use an over-sharpened dental hook and scratch a line at the level of the powder. When I dump the powder I scratch it deeper. Rub some fine powder or graphite powder against it with my finger and I have a black line.Over drill but don't want to trim the top of the tine and ruin the shape?
Polish the inside and the spout. Fill it with the amount of powder you intended it to hold. Mark the level of the powder with a pencil on the inside. Dump out the powder and hold the tine in a vice. Fill the tine with black dye with an eyedropper to the pencil line and wait 30 minutes. Dump the dye back into the jar and proceed.
to get the right amount of powder in it, I balled up toilet paper and inserted it into the bottom / base, and it will stay there.
