Do they exist Would like to have a smaller caliber match lock in 45 or so? Who sells em and are they hard to put together? Know nothing about em currently shooting hawken rock locks and cap locks. They look like they would be a lot of fun and would provoke mucho curiosity on the range.

The Rifle Shoppe is a fine place to get some special items. Some of the parts they offer are not available anywhere else.

That said, they have a reputation for taking up to several years to deliver the parts.

Anyone wanting to buy from them owes it to themselves to call and ask if the part/gun is in stock right now and how soon can it be delivered.

Failing to do this has caused some gun builds to take years to finish rather than months.

The Rifle Shoppe

Their Match locks are large not small.

No they are not hard to put together if you are handy with a few tools.

They do not come with any directions.

When I order from them I mostly just get the locks from them. And only what they have on hand.
I have had very good luck that way.

That's good to know. I was considering building a wheel lock for my next project. But definitely aint gonna wait a year for parts to show up.

Besides The Rifle Shoppe, E.J. Blackley & Son offers lock castings.

If you only want the lock castings and can’t get one from the above I think I have two or three (whellock castings) on hand.

It might take a week or two to find them ( I teach and the guys & gals don’t always put things back when they are looking to see what I have.)
