Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
Lyman makes a 54 cal mold for the plains bullet.
Saw it listed in my Track of the Wolf catalog which is year or two old. I think from looking at the style of the bullet you would be happy with it.
I have the plains bullet mold in .54. It cast a bullet like the Hornady plains bullet but with a flat base and nose. It's a great bullet for thick skinned critters but won't expand like a Maxi-hunter.
I thought about drilling a hollow point out of some to see how well they expand.
You see maxi-ball mold really regular on ebay but not to many maxi-hunter molds. I have a maxi-ball mold & they are 370 gr. store bought maxi-hunters are 350 gr. in 50 cal. :hatsoff:
