different stokes for different folks. I don't see what is so hard about pulling a ball, I have done it more times than I care to admit. never tried the co2 thing, I'm sure it works fine. what I do is pour something down the barrel to saturate the patch, I wrap electricians tape around ball puller to center it in the bore, I allso use a steel range rod. I think in most cases where a ball is stuck in the bore, the user was not using the right patch lube, or none at all. 2 years ago my nephew came over with a stuck ball in his cva, the ball went down about half way and lodged, luckily he knew better than to shoot it out, and allso realized the ball was not down all the way. we took the barrel out of the stock and set the breech in a pail of water, with the nipple out for about 10 minutes, put the barrel in a vise , used a ball puller and it would not budge, took it back out of the vise and sprayed some wd-40 down the bore and let it set a while, back in the vise, threaded the puller back in and give it a tug and it broke loose and came out. flinch
