P.S. One another note. Its great to be back after a long absense. Truck wrecks suck. just saying :(

what kind of shooting do you do with this powder? any thoughts about just giving it a good mix and shoot it as is? Check your load and zero of coarse.

You may find it will burn a bit faster and have less residue. No way to to find out w/o trying some in a light to moderate loading with PRB.

Fleener and Cynthialee have the answer. There is no easy way to sieve it without having the correct size sieves and you won't find them at your local hardware store. Just mix it up, check your POI. Then either adjust your load or your sights and shoot the stuff until you have used it up. After that, go back to whatever powder you were using before the mix-up. You will have to reset your sights and/or your charge to their original position.

I agree with the Lady! Shake well and shoot! But then I always look for the easy way out. Geo. T.

Sounds like an excuse to buy something fun but where precision isn't critical. Blunderbuss? Howdah?

I agree with the masses here just shoot it as i done this myself

I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and have a long range session till the powder is spent. LOL

As i was cooking dinner got an idea
Get some screen and strain it and get ceramic crushing bowls with a wood crusher do it in small amounts
Just a thought i was wondering what calibers you have

Also did you read a post on 2f vs 3f i just read it might help. Yeah but you just shoot it and worry less and enjoy

Agree. I used to mix the last ounce or two in cans and use for hunting. If your not doing real serious target work it will be fine for casual shooting also. Methinks we often get a bit too anal about things like differences between 2Fg. and 3Fg. It gives us something to talk about. Use and enjoy, just keep mixed.

Shoot and enjoy. Honestly I think it will make little difference.

if ever you dont feel confortable ,
just had more and more ,every time ,of your preferated one, 2f or 3f and always mix it ,

Don't worry be happy. You have a perfect excuse and someone else to blame for any bad shooting at the range. :rotf: :rotf: Seriously you will not notice much difference.

Mix well and shoot as is. It will work fine.
Unless you have the specific screen sizes forget separating it.

Dan

Agree.

Unless you are shooting ultra small calibers, like a BB caliber mortar that normally uses 4F you'll be ok. Just use the 3F loading data you normally use. I would however mix it well to ensure consistency from shot to shot.
