Just wondering, because I bought some to pack the action. After experimenting with that I decided I would rather not pack. Now I have a can of grease. I usually use Crisco so will just put the grease on the shelf, thanks tenngun.

I don’t know why it wouldn’t be worth a try… a few rounds anyway and see how it goes. You have the grease, the gun and hopefully some time…

Synthetic lubes get along with B.P. just fine. The competition crowd proved that many yrs ago. I've never heard of anyone using it for loading purposes though. You don't know till ya try. Be adventurous and tell your story.

Exactly. I use Stihl HP synthetic in my bullet lube and lately in patch lube too.

Mobil 1 is an excellent lubricant. I would use it to lube the firing mechanism and cylinder shaft. As for over the powder, you can use it there but it is much too expensive compared to Crisco or the like for only one shot. Keep it for the mechanics and the tube will last you 20 years and being synthetic it will still be good in 20 years.
